1:Gynostemma pentaphyllum mainly contains saponins, polysaccharides, flavonoids, amino acids, plant proteins, alcohols, pigments, organic acids, cellulose, chlorophyll, trace elements and other substances. The first three are the main ingredients of health benefits.
2:Saponins are the most important health component of gynostemma pentaphyllum . Since 1976, Chinese and Japanese scientists have isolated and identified more than 100 saponins from gynostemma pentaphyllum. Among them, 8 kinds of gypenoside were identical with the protoginsenediol saponins Rb1, Rc, Rb3, Rd, F2, Rg3, malonyl Rb1 and malonyl Rd saponins found in ginseng.
3:Polysaccharides have complex structure and many kinds of microbial activities to improve immunity, anti-cancer, anti-radiation and so on. The hydrolyzed products of polysaccharides containing fructose, glucose, galactose and oligosaccharides in gynostaphyllum pentaphyllum all contain rhamnose-xylose, arabinose, glucose and galactose.
